About Us

OUR VISION

This nonprofit is survivor-led and centered aiming to fill the gap between victims and survivor leaders by empowering their voices, providing leadership and professional development, and giving access to life-long mental health services. Creating a national network of survivor-led organizations and fueling their leadership with necessary tools to be elevated into the professionals and subject matter experts they inherently are, SLS is focused on collaborating, uniting, and promoting anti-trafficking efforts locally and around the nation.

HISTORY

Creating a survivor led and centered trauma informed care space for survivors has always been the dream. Finding a way to do this and to incorporate life experience, higher education, and professional resources, in a post pandemic world, were the tools to use an expert voice & vision for the nonprofit.

After helping build & expand other nonprofit organizations that rehabilitated survivors of trafficking, including safe houses, advocacy centers, and training programs, in 2023 Alicia felt called to start Survivor-Led Solutions. The four programs encourage, empower, and prevent burnout for survivor leadership. The calling on Alicia’s life to “find God’s Missing Children,” and then, therefore, build their professional voice were the ways she could use her life experiences to create a survival guide for others.
