Empowerment
We offer weekly empowerment classes to women individually and in programs. We have begun to partner with different women’s recovery programs. This includes organizations like- Waterfront Rescue Mission (Hope for Her), Lakeview Center: Road to Recovery, R.E.A.P., Charis House (United Ministries) and Favor House. These local to Northwest Florida Recovery programs allow women to be seen and heard through their history of sexual exploitation and the need for trauma-informed responding services.
Leadership Development
Leadership skills are brought to life in our 1 on 1 coaching sessions. Partnering with a Survivor Leader, survivors are tasked with time management and goal setting, with accountability to launch their own success. This includes templates for contracts, operational budgets, and more. This holistic approach accelerates the confidence to becoming more that just a survivor, you are a warrior!
Professional Development
Survivors are meant to thrive. We are not just Lived Experience Experts, we are also Subject Matter Experts. This means Quarterly Virtual Workshops lead by Survivor Leaders for Survivor Leaders. Focusing on business management, strategic planning, public speaking and more.
For our Re-entry program ladies, we offer a quarterly Professional Development Workshop. Partnering with professional make up artists and students, HR Specialists, a profewsional photographer, and The Blessing Boutique (a mobile clothing boutique hosted by Survivor Leader, Roni Fisher) we offer a half day of professional development activities. Dressing up, make up done, headshot, and mock-interview, survivors get an opportunity to take their shot in the professional world.
Training & Education
We partner with local law enforcement, first responders, mental health practitioners, case workers, substance recovery centers, and beyond to help train staff to become more trauma-informed and understand sexual exploitation from a survivor lens. This survivor-centered approach exposes the gaps in systems of care, and allows for creative solutions to help engage victims and survivors in a new way. We are happy engage your organization and business to become a safer and more responsible party in the fight against human trafficking.
Retreats
The foundation of our mental health services comes in the form of alternative therapeutic modalities. Retreats are a great way to get quiet, disconnect, and engage in self-care. From Wyoming to Maui, Florida and beyond we offer 1 day to 1 week survivor leader retreats. These are a beautiful way for Survivor Leaders to engage in “calculated risks” with activities that trigger danger, but are completely safe and guided with supervision. Rock running, horse back riding, snorkeling, and even the gun range are just some examples.
We also offer Correctional Officer Retreats. These are one day opportunities for the unsung heros of anti-trafficking efforts. These officers see the ins and outs of incarceration, suffer from vicarious trauma, and struggle with compassion fatigue and burn out. These retreats give the officers an opportunity to unplug and engage in some much-needed self care. Learning tools to take home are essential to keep healthy correctional officers employed.
We also offer Contractional Retreats. This means hosting and guiding other organizations with retreats to create trauma-informed, person-centered, holistic opportunities to engage in self care. With best practices and a network of opportunities, we encourage you to reach out to SLS and book your next retreat!
Advocacy
Partnering with the individual survivor, we offer court advocacy, mentorship and a network of resources. This includes womens health, music therapy, equine, and others ways to heal. This also includes 1 on 1 meet-ups, letters of recommendation, and access to our leadership & professional development workshops. We work with both the youth and adult survivors in this capacity.
